Guided Ascensions

Our company organizes guided ascension groups by the Normal Route also known as NW and by the Traverse Route also known as False Polish Glacier , every summer season (Dec. to March).
These are the tentatives itineraries; they could vary in case of slow acclimatization or bad weather conditions.

Normal Route by Horcones Valley

Day 01 – Airport Mendoza – hotel, equipment check,
ascension permit purchase
Day 02 – Mendoza – Puente del Inca or Penitentes,
organization of mule loads
Day 03 – Puente del Inca or Penitentes – Horcones,
ranger control, start walking to Confluencia, encampment
Day 04 – Acclimatization walk to Plaza Francia, return to Confluencia
Day 05 – Confluencia -Plaza de Mulas, encampment
Day 06 – Rest day at base camp
Day 07 – Rest day at base camp
Day 08 – Plaza de Mulas – Plaza Canadá & Nido de Cóndores food and fuel
carry, return to Plaza de Mulas
Day 09 – Rest day at base camp
Day 10 – Plaza de Mulas – Plaza Canadá – encampment
Day 11 – Plaza Canadá – Nido de Cóndores – encampment
Day 12 – Nido de Cóndores –Berlín food and fuel carry, return to Nido de Cóndores
Day 13 – Rest day at Nido de Cóndores
Day 14 – Ascent to Berlín – encampment
Day 15 – Berlín – summit – Berlín
Day 16 – Reserve day
Day 17 – Reserve day
Day 18 – Berlín – Plaza de Mulas
Day 19 – Plaza de Mulas – Puente del Inca – Mendoza, hotel
Day 20 – Mendoza – airport

 

Traverse Route by Vacas Valley

Day 01- Airport Mendoza – hotel, equipment check,
ascension permit purchase
Day 02 – Mendoza – Puente del Inca or Penitentes,
organization of mule loads
Day 03 – Enter the Provincial Park and trek up to Pampa de
Leñas, encampment
Day 04 – Ascent to Casa de Piedra, encampment
Day 05 – Ascent to Plaza Argentina, encampment
Day 06 – Rest day at base camp
Day 07 – Rest day at base camp
Day 08 – Carry of food and fuel to Camp I, return to Plaza
Argentina
Day 09 – Rest day at base camp
Day 10 – Plaza Argentina –Camp I, encampment
Day 11 – Carry equipment up to Camp II, return to Camp I
Day 12 – Rest day at Camp I
Day 13 – Camp I – Camp II, encampment
Day 14 – Summit attempt or ascend to CampIII.
Day 15 – Spare day or attempt to summit from Camp III.
Day 16 – Spare day
Day 17 – Descend to Plaza Argentina
Day 18 – Rest day
Day 19 – Descend to Pampa de Leñas.
Day 20 – Descend to Punta de Vacas, drive to Mendoza
Day 21 – Transfer to airport, end of services

The services included for a programmed group are:

Transfer from Mendoza airport to hotel and back
Hotel & breakfast in Mendoza city – two nights –
Assistance with ascension permit processing and equipment rental
Transfer from Mendoza city to Puente del Inca or Penitentes and back
Accommodation in Puente del Inca or Penitentes ( bed & breakfast) – one night –
Gear transport by mules from Puente del Inca to Plaza de Mulas/ Plaza Argentina and back (25 kg of equipment per person)
Full trek and climbing service to Aconcagua and back (all meals, sleeping tents & large groups tents, privy at base camps)
High altitude tents, foods, stoves & fuel
Guide – permanent VHF communication with base camp
